The Heavenly Hands NYC LLC massage incorporates many styles of my massage therapy training, put together into one session. Upon our discussion, I or the patient can select whichever modality or a mix of styles is appropriate. This massage can be a mixture of Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Therapy Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure Therapy, or Reiki. The patient is allowed to choose three modalities. I can also include hot heat packs, etc in the session if desired or necessary.
Our unique combination of massages can help you achieve the relaxation your body needs. It can also help in relieving muscular and joint tension, by stimulating internal organs and thereby moving circulation and release toxins from the body.
Aroma Touch Massage is an alternative therapeutic technique that combines the natural therapeutic properties of the essential oils and the healing power of massage therapy. Aromatherapy Massage uses essential oils that are thought to have healing properties. These oils are the concentrated essences taken from the flowers, fruit, seeds, leaves, and bark of certain plants. An aromatherapy massage is used for the purpose of altering one’s mood, cognitive, psychological, or physical well-being. It stimulates your sense of smell and your body’s response to touch.
Chair massage is a style of seated massage that is typically short — 15 or 30 minutes — and focuses on your back, shoulders and neck, and arms. Chair massage is done over clothes and doesn’t require any massage oil.
For chair massage, you are seated in a special chair with your face resting in a cradle, looking down towards the floor, with supports for your arms. Your back and neck completely relax while the therapist relieves muscle tension using Swedish massage moves like kneading and compression and tapotement, which don’t require oil.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is similar to Swedish Massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. Deep Tissue Massage, is a deeper more intense massage. This technique uses deep guided strokes and firm pressure designed to relieve severe tension and reach below the superficial muscles. Deep Tissue Massage is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain and soreness in both large and small muscle groups. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints).

Reflexology has been a part of the ancient medical traditions of China and Egypt. Reflexology is a type of alternative medicine. Reflexology involves the application of pressure to specific points and areas on the hands or feet using specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques. Reflexology is a therapy based on the principle that there are small and specific areas of innervation in the hands and feet that correspond to specific muscle groups or organs of the body. Foot Reflexology can be deeply relaxing and a great therapeutic modality for those suffering from plantar fasciitis, ankle injuries, for people who stand on their feet all day or just have tired, achy feet. Hand Reflexology be helpful for people who have carpal tunnel syndrome, who work on a computer all day, or simply have achy hands.

Swedish Massage is the most common and best-known type of massage. If you’ve never had a massage before, this is a good one to try first. Swedish Massage is a type of European massage intended to relax muscles and improve circulation with the use of massage oils and gentle manipulation. It involves long, fluid strokes of muscles and tissues with pressure that varies from light to medium to firm. Swedish massage consists of various strokes that warm up and work the muscle tension while breaking up muscle “knots” or adhesion. Swedish Massage promotes relaxation; eases muscle tension. Swedish massage can be very gentle and relaxing. During this massage, the patient is lying on a massage table or sitting in a massage chair. The patient is unclothed and draped.
